TikTok Money Making Opportunity
TikTok has one of the biggest money-making opportunities on social media right now. There are literally young people making hundreds of thousands of dollars from this unique TikTok opportunity. It’s brand new, and once you understand the basics, you’ll understand how easy this can actually be, and there’s only one thing that you need.
TikTok Shop Affiliate Program
Now, to get the crazy results that I’m showing right now on my screen, you don’t need any products, you don’t need to deal with shipping, you don’t need to deal with customer service, you don’t need to pay a single dollar of advertising, and you don’t even need a website. Now, what’s this brand new TikTok opportunity called? It’s called the TikTok Shop Affiliate Program, and in this video, I’m going to show you how to sign up for it, and you’ll instantly be able to see the potential income from this thing.
TikTok Shops Growth
You might not have heard about it when it first came out, but TikTok Shops first came out in September of 2023 because they noticed that online e-commerce grew from $5.3 to $5.8 trillion between 2022 and 2023. So it was a no-brainer for TikTok to try to jump in on that, and the consensus among digital marketers is that TikTok Shops has the same kind of hype and money-making potential that Drop Shipping first did when it first came out.
Easy Money Making Methods
You have an opportunity to capitalize on this just like people did. People made a ton of money when Drop Shipping first got started because they were early adopters, and you have a chance to capitalize on the same thing right now with TikTok Shops. There’s a lot of different ways to make money with TikTok Shops, but by far the easiest is by using the TikTok Shop Affiliate Program, and I’m going to show you how you can just click a few buttons and insert links on top of TikTok videos that when people click through, you get paid.
Secret Backdoor Access
Most people can’t just go and sign up for this TikTok Affiliate Program, but I’m going to show you a secret backdoor that lets you get in without the requirements that most people have to fulfill in order to even get started. Being an affiliate on TikTok is fairly simple to set up if you meet the requirements, and you’re going to get started right on your mobile device.
Account Setup Steps
Obviously, you need a TikTok account. While you’re in your account, you just click on the upper right-hand corner, it’s called a burger icon. Then you click “Creator Tools” like I’m showing right here, then under monetization, you swipe to the left, you click on “TikTok Shop for Creators,” and you sign up. Now if you’re on a computer, you can just go to the Creator tab right here on the TikTok Shop site and then just click “Join Now,” or you can just scroll all the way down after reading through this whole page and just scan the QR code.
Bypassing Requirements
But here’s where it gets tricky. There’s some basic requirements that you have to meet. First of all, you have to be 18 years old, and second of all, you have to have over 5,000 followers. But that’s where you’re in luck that you’re watching this video because I’m going to show you how you can sign up for this without having 5,000 followers, and you can bypass this requirement.
Business Account Setup
It says an Advertiser account, but basically what you’re signing up for is a TikTok Business Account. Now I’m assuming you don’t have a TikTok account at all yet. If you already have a TikTok account with some followers, just leave me a comment – I can show you how to do this to your existing TikTok account as well. But I’m making this video for people, I’m assuming you don’t even have a TikTok account at all and you’re just starting from scratch. Now once you sign up for a TikTok Business Account through this link, then you’re going to sign up for a second thing which is a TikTok Shops account, and you can get to this URL right here just by doing a simple Google search “register for a TikTok Shop account.”
TikTok Account Setup
It’ll be the top link right there. You can just click on it, and that’ll bring you right here. Now, I’m not going to go through all the details of signing up for these two accounts. It’s fairly self-explanatory, and it’d be really boring for you to watch me fill those out. But just go ahead and fill out both of those pages: one, a TikTok Business Account, and two, a TikTok Shops Account.
Linking Business and Shop Accounts
Now comes the real trick – you’re going to link these two accounts together. Now in the TikTok Shops Account that you just created, you’re going to click in the upper right here, this profile icon, and you click on “My Account.” And then you’re going to see “Linked Accounts.” Click right here in this button that says “Link Official Account,” and then you’re going to see a QR code there.
QR Code Scanning Process
Now using that QR code, I want you to go to your phone, and I want you to sign in to the TikTok Business Account that you created on your phone (not the TikTok Shops Account). The TikTok Business Account – sign into that account on your phone, and then you’re going to take your phone and you’re going to point it at the QR code that you see on your screen and scan it.
Account Authorization Steps
All you have to do there is click on the hamburger menu on the top right again, click on “My QR Code,” then you tap on the code reader on the top right and you scan that QR code that’s showing on the screen of your computer. You’re going to be given the option to authorize, and once you do, you’ll be given access to the shop button on your TikTok Business Account profile, and that’s it! That’s how you bypass the 5,000 followers requirement – just by creating those two accounts and linking them together.
Product Promotion Strategy
After you’ve linked these accounts together, you can actually get started making videos and selling products right away. You’re going to get qualified as an affiliate first, and then you can go ahead and start finding products to sell. Now, the way that I recommend promoting products is that you start by imitating other creators that seem like they are selling things very well. I want you to imitate their videos. I want you to look very carefully at how they structure their videos and try to do it very close to what they are doing, and I would even sell the very similar or the same products that they’re selling as well when you’re getting started to get your feet wet.
Creating Consumer-Style Videos
I’m going to show you in just a second how to make a button on your TikTok videos that people can click on, but what you want to do is make videos that look like you’re a consumer. Let’s say you’re selling a very high-end, high-class pen, for example. You would make a TikTok video just as if you were just a regular person using this pen, and you love this pen so much.
Video Posting Schedule
You can even make videos that make it look like you’re discovering this product for the first time, which you actually are because, for the most part, these are going to be products that you don’t even know anything about. I’ll give you an insider secret – the people that are making thousands of dollars per day with this are posting an average of three to five videos per day.
Work Requirements
You might automatically say, “Man, 3 to 5 videos per day sounds like a lot of work!” And I’m not going to pretend that it’s not. It is a lot of work to do three to five videos per day. This is not an autopilot business model. This is a business model that’s going to require daily work, daily consistency, daily videos, and it’s going to require quite a lot of work.
Alternative Business Model
If you’re looking for residual income, in other words, you’re looking for income that’s going to come in on autopilot whether you’re working or not, I highly recommend you to have a free class there that’ll teach you how to set up an autopilot online business that’s a little bit of work to get it all set up, but once it’s set up, it’s going to bring you in residual income.
Finding Products
Now let’s get back to picking your products. TikTok Shops – you might be saying, “I don’t know what kind of product to recommend, I don’t know what kind of product to sell, where do I start?” To find a product, you can actually just browse TikTok Shops right there on your phone and see which products are currently selling thousands or multiple thousands of sales, or you can use websites like FastMoss or KloData.
Product Analytics Tools
Now on these two sites, FastMoss and KloData, you can actually search for different shops, and you can see different products and get a sense for which products are currently working. You can even see the commission rate on these products, you can see how much revenue each product is generating, you can see the total orders for a product, how many creators are promoting that product – you get all the analytics and everything so you can make an educated decision on the product that you promote.
TikTok Trends and Product Categories
And I would recommend you don’t reinvent the wheel. Go with the trends, look on those websites, and you’ll see the trends. You’ll see which products are taking off, those are the ones that you want to be making videos about. TikTok also has like a Creative Center where you can check out winning products. You can search by region, you can search by category, and some of the best categories to get into, I will say, are like perfume, women’s clothing, and like Tech accessories like phone mounts and cases and stuff like that. Those tend to do really well on TikTok, so you might want to start with those categories.
Product Samples
Once you’ve identified a product category and a specific product that you want to promote, what I would recommend that you do is actually contact the seller. You can contact them directly through the TikTok app and ask for a sample. Why would you want a sample? Well, because you actually have to show the product in the video itself that you’re making. So that’s why asking for samples is a great idea, so you can actually have the thing itself. You can actually use it right there on video, show your viewers how it works, that’s how you’re going to do best.
TikTok Shop Setup
Putting products on your TikTok video, how do you actually put these products on a TikTok video? I’m going to show you that right now. First thing you want to do is click on the TikTok Shop button in your profile, and then you want to click on the Product Marketplace where you can see all the different products that you can promote. Find whatever product that you’re trying to make the video about, then once you’ve chosen a product, you’re going to be given an option. You can see right here to buy a sample or add now.
Product Showcase
What’s going to happen if you press the add button is it’s going to add it to what’s called your Product Showcase, and before TikTok will let you add any kind of links to your videos, all those products need to be in your personal Product Showcase. So it’s really important that you first, you go through the Product Marketplace and you add any product that you think you might promote, just click add and add it to your Product Showcase.
Adding Product Links
Now after you add it to your showcase, then it’s going to be available for you to add a button for that product on top of any video that you make. Let me show you real quick what that looks like, but let’s say you just created a video. Right after you create a TikTok video, I’m talking about when you use the TikTok app on your phone and create a video, right after that it’s going to take you to a page that looks just like this. All you have to do is click “Add Link” and then tap on “Product,” and then right there you’re going to see a list of anything that you have added to your showcase already. Tap on that and it will add a button that lets people buy that product directly off your TikTok video, and anytime someone does that, you will get paid a commission on each sale – very, very powerful.
TikTok Video Types
Now there’s different kinds of TikTok videos you can make. I’m not sure if you’re familiar with TikTok, but if you’re not, you can make live shopping videos. That’s where you’re actually on TikTok live in real-time showing the product, demonstrating it, talking about how amazing it is, and of course with your link, your button right on top of that live. There’s also shoppable videos that are pre-recorded videos with, of course, the button to buy the product right on top, and then there’s also your Product Showcase which actually your TikTok viewers can actually go and look at your entire showcase. Everything you’ve added to your showcase, they can go and they can buy it from there as well for you to make money.
Content Strategy
But regardless of what kind of video you make, the main thing you want to make sure not forget is to click on that “Add Link” button, then tap “Product” and add the product that you want to promote right there on top of your video. So I encourage you, get out there, start making three to five videos per day. Probably what you want to do is make a big list of all the videos that are doing really, really well on TikTok for whatever product you’re trying to promote and literally try to recreate those videos as best as you can. If you imitate the highest most viral videos selling that product, that’s going to be the best way that you can get started and you’ll start to get a feel for how to promote this stuff.
Final Thoughts
Don’t try to reinvent the wheel. After you get the hang of it, you’ll be able to start to branch out on your own, and again this is going to be a lot of work.
