Dropshipping Store Success Guide And Personal Results
In today’s article, I’m going to go through four or five of the most important things you need to know when starting a dropshipping store in the best possible way over the next year. A lot of what I’ll be showing you are things I’ve personally done with my Shopify stores. As you can see here, I was able to take this store’s sales up to around £22,000 (approximately $130,000) without putting in too much effort. Stick around from start to finish to learn something that might change your life.
Finding Products From Amazon For Your Shopify Store
First, find a product that’s performing well on Amazon and sell it on your Shopify store. Amazon is the number one e-commerce website globally, and it’s also a search engine, so if you can figure out which products people are searching for and spending money on, you can find that product on a dropshipping supplier’s website and use it to build your own brand. A step-by-step process helps with this, and one of the first steps is to go to the best sellers page on amazon.com by heading over to amazon.com/SLB/best-sellers.
Product Category Selection Process
Once there, Amazon breaks it down into various categories such as Home & Kitchen, Clothing, Electronics, and Beauty & Personal Care. You need to pick a category you’re willing to build up in the long term, based on your passion and what you envision building without giving up. I’ll keep it simple and go with Home & Kitchen. For this example, I’ll use a milk frother, which has over 200,000 reviews and is a lightweight item, making postage costs low. Weight and size are important considerations for dropshipping products.
Product Research Using Helium 10
After choosing the product, research to ensure people are actually buying it. I entered the keyword here and used the Helium 10 Chrome extension, specifically the X-ray Amazon Product Research tool, to see total revenue over the past 30 days, showing that customers spent up to $3.7 million on items containing the keywords “milk frother.” This indicates interest, suggesting a Shopify store around similar products could be successful. This product is just an example; I’m not saying everyone watching this should dropship it. Find an item you’re happy to sell.
Essential Shopify Apps For Success

Moving on, another key point for dropshipping success is using the best Shopify apps. For new Shopify users, apps work similarly to the ones on your iPhone, serving specific purposes. You can browse the App Store to find apps for finding winning products, order and shipping management, marketing, conversion, store design, and store management.
Store Management And Automation
I use specific apps depending on the store, such as one for syncing products to run Google Shopping ads, Privy for collecting visitors’ email addresses, and another app to show recent purchases to visitors to build trust. The Trustpilot review app also helps by automatically requesting reviews from customers. Another great app is AutoDS, which supports various aspects of managing a dropshipping store, from finding winning products to automatic fulfillment. For example, I can bulk add products from a supplier’s website to my Shopify store quickly.
Multiple Platform Marketing Strategy
Once I top up a balance on AutoDS, it handles order fulfillment automatically, sparing me from copying buyer information manually. If you’d like to try AutoDS with a 30-day trial, use the link in my description for a trial and discount. Finally, make sure the product you choose can be promoted on multiple advertising platforms. Google Shopping is great because it targets people actively searching for products, but I also promote items on TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram Reels to reach more customers across platforms. This diversification can boost daily revenue by not relying on one ad platform.
